TAPS: It takes nothing away but NOx emissions

The LEAP combustor is an advanced learn-burn, low-emissions design dubbed Twin-Annular, Pre-Swirl. The pre-swirler mixes fuel and air before they enter the combustor, creating a leaner mixture that lowers peak temperatures.

This technology will reduce NOx emissions by a full 50% compared to the current CAEP/6 regulations. Thanks to the combustion chamber, both the consumption and the emissions are controllable.
