Job Description

The Design Engineer is responsible for developing solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems, requiring judgment and ingenuity with the product line. General responsibilities include module customization, new development support, qualification and certification, continued airworthiness, cabin installation definition, supplier management, etc. 

The Engineering Center in houses hundreds of  engineers who assist in the design and development of commercial aircraft cabins, including aftermarket upgrades, reconfigurations and services of all product types across the globe

  • Generate specifications, drawings, and models for project-specific outcomes, encompassing feasibility studies, integration plans, clash investigations, and production document creation in alignment with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, company protocols, and client contractual obligations.
  • Analyze and interpret aircraft structure design data to devise effective design solutions.
  • Produce or adapt technical documentation such as Design Datasets and Product Structures utilizing variouscomputer applications with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Facilitate communication and interface requirements between customers and suppliers with professionalism.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments (e.g., Static Stress, Flammability, Quality) to optimize design solutions.
  • Assist in the preparation of documents using  computer toolsets.
  • Develop materials for team briefings directed at internal or external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to an integrated engineering team, ensuring alignment with its strategy, policy, and direction.
  • Provide clear and concise guidance within processes in response to routine to moderate queries.
  • Understand project planning requirements and execute activities to meet customer needs.
  • Identify and support local improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing team efficiency through process, methods, and tools enhancements.

SEGULA TECHNOLOGIES is looking for :

Qualifications
  • Minimum BS degree in engineering or related field: 
  • 15 years of Engineering experience.  
  • Technical understanding of aircraft cabin and avionics systems modifications. 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 
  • Ability to understand and mentor principles within assigned discipline. 
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical aircraft topics. 
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organization skills. 
  • Ability to inter-relate with and motivate diverse teams.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
  • Ability to lift 50+lbs. 
  • 10% Domestic and International
