Aerospace Turner job
The aerospace turner - also known as a 'turner operator' and 'manual turner' - is responsible for manufacturing metal parts and components.
In close cooperation with fitters, drillers, and welders, turners study assembly specifications and technical documents to perform appropriate actions.
Turners also make sure each part will fit together in the final design. They identify potential problems by understanding machine specifications and drawings before the production process.
Due to an increase in automated processes, the turner's job today is not as physically demanding as it was in the past, and will mainly monitor and adjust machinery.
