Our presence will focus on increasing our profile within Qatar and the region by displaying examples of our breadth of capability.

We will showcase the advanced swing-role fighter, Eurofighter Typhoon, alongside our latest products at this year’s Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition & Conference (DIMDEX).

Our presence

Our presence at DIMDEX will include a Eurofighter Typhoon, in a multi-role configuration; the Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer; the 57mk3 and 40mk4 Naval Gun systems and LEMUR, a Remotely Controlled Weapon System. We will also showcase its capabilities in delivering cost-effective training, services and support.

“We are pleased to be attending DIMDEX for the first time – the flagship naval and defence industry event in Qatar – and our advanced military air and naval gun capabilities are a key feature of our stand. As a trusted defence and security partner throughout the Gulf region, BAE Systems is forging a strong bond with Qatar as the nation makes historic investments and progress towards its vision for the future. We would like to thank the Qatar Armed Forces for providing the perfect platform to connect with customers and decision makers in Qatar,” said Ben Bridge, Managing Director, Middle East & Africa for BAE Systems.

Due to the aircraft’s ability to switch from air-to-air to air-to-surface attack capabilities in the same mission, Eurofighter Typhoon remains the world’s most advanced new generation swing-role combat aircraft. In November 2013, Eurofighter Typhoon joined Britain’s famous Red Arrow’s, one of the world’s premier aerobatic teams, in a public display over Doha’s Corniche as part of the Red Arrows’ wider Middle East tour.
