For backcountry pilot Ross Wilke, flying is the ultimate freedom and a special connection to loved ones. He relies on the backcountry-optimized Hartzell Voyager propeller on his 1974 Cessna A185F to get in and out of rugged airstrips in the Midwest and beyond.

Ross is also an active member of the Recreational Aviation Foundation, where he serves as a Social Media Ambassador and shares his love of backcountry aviation near and far. We caught up with Ross at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2023 to learn about his story and his flying goals!
