Textron 100 years: Evolving into a Defense Company

Textron's acquisition of Bell Aerospace Corporation in 1960 began our journey as an aersopace & defense company. Our purchase of Avco Corporation in 1984 doubled our size, adding to the defense business, which later became Textron Systems.
