When the alarm bell rings, every second counts
German Eurofighters stationed in Latvia were activated at the weekend to intercept two Russian aircraft without flight plans.
In the event of an Alpha Scramble, #Eurofighter pilots on Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) duty only have 15 minutes to get dressed and airborne.
Good thing the Spanish and German air forces not only operate the same aircraft - their teamwork is also excellent.
