Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Charlotte was recently lifted from the ground out of the shaft at King George's Park, in London. ALS specialist Project Manager in Hull arranged for the TBM sections to be transported over 2 days with a private escort vehicle back to Dormay Street. The TBM will be placed back in the ground and used to tunnel a further 600 metres north to Fulham, it is being used as part of the Thames Tideway Tunnel project to clean the River Thames from sewage pollution.
