Job Description

My client is a global manufacturer who now requires an Asset Management / CMMS Data Owner to join their Maintenance Planning Team on a fixed-term basis in order to deliver their project of a new CMMS to the business.

This is an exciting time to join the business as they are in the early stages of transformation and there is the potential to make a real impact within this well respected company.

This new position is likely to be based in North Hertfordshire and will require frequent travel to a sister site in Middlesex (option available to be based in Middlesex office).

Reporting into the Maintenance Planning Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the CMMS is constructed to reflect the maintenance work flows of the business and captures the necessary data to drive effective maintenance performance. You will initially work alongside existing maintenance planners to understand the current system (such as how BOMs are built, equipment set-ups, scheduling decisions, etc.) before reporting to the project for the remainder of the fixed-term contract whilst regularly linking with the maintenance planners to ensure deliverables are being met.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring CMMS project deliverables are met in line with project timeline
  • Driving continuous improvement of the maintenance planning process
  • Representing the planning function during the project phase
  • Developing and Delivering training to improve awareness of business stakeholders
  • Providing first line support to CMMS end users (maintenance planners)

Candidates are required to have a proven track record of using Asset Management Systems and previous experience of implementing a CMMS into a business. Applications are invited from experienced individuals with exceptional planning, scheduling and coordinating skills, who have worked in high volume, process driven environments (i.e. chemical, food, agro-chemical, automotive, aerospace, pharmaceutical, metals, refining, or similar).
