Description of the job :
The Earth Observation (EO) service based on imagery data collected from space or from stratosphere is a fast growing business. To strengthen its current position of world number 2 on the EO space data market, Airbus Defence and Space has engaged the development of its future service capacities both in terms of data collection, including in particular the manufacturing of new constellation of satellites, and in terms of digital information system based on
Cloud technologies.

The INTELLIGENCE business cluster of Airbus DS CIS (CIS-INT) is running a large program :
- renewing its geo-information services facilities & solutions,
- improving its operational efficiency,
- preparing future geo-information services at 2020 horizon,
- preparing for the accommodation of Post-Pléiades system.

In parallel, several projects will be run to develop and deliver to customers the geo-imagery infrastructure solutions derived from the project design.

A position of User Interface (UI) and Experience (UX) Specialist has just opened within the Earth Observation application frontend development entity in Toulouse. This organization, the Web Factory (WF), within « Web Portals & Mobile » service, strives to implement Agile and DevOps concepts in order to meet the objectives of this enterprise transformation program.

The Web Factory is composed of a Core Team in charge of dev support roles, notably: frontend architecture (including reusable components), continuous integration chain, automated tests strategy definition and support, API strategy and design.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Task & accountabilities :
In parallel to the development and maintenance of thematic GIS application frontend projects (Scrums), you will be in charge of the following main activities:
- participate to workshops with Product Owners (and developers) to build storyboards or process / navigation flows
- design graphic user interface
- develop User Interface mockups and prototypes
- contribute to corporate graphic standard UI
- contribute to our frontend toolkit for developers (FRET)
- integrate (develop) designed interface into the final technical product (HTML/SCSS integration)
- support other frontend developers for HTML/CSS integration

This role will involve occasional travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required profile


Required skills :
You have the experience and the following skills:
- Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role (access to portfolio examples is necessary)
- Knowledge of wireframing tools (Balsamiq, Axure) prototyping tools (Sketch, Invision, Marvel)
- Knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- HTML, CSS, CSS preprocessors: advanced coding skills
- Basic knowledge of Angular is a plus
- Dev tools: Gitlab, JIRA, Confluence
- Agile Scrum method
- Languages: written English (a good speaking level is a plus), fluent French.
