Successfully launched the SICRAL 2 satellite

SICRAL 2, a military telecommunication satellite was successfully launched on April 26th. SICRAL 2 is a cooperation program between Italian Defence Minister and French DGA, designed and developed by Thales Alenia Space and Telespazio.
SICRAL 2 will have an operational life of more than 15 years and will enhance Italy and France satellite communication capabilities, guaranteeing interoperability with exhisting satellite assets, NATO traffic terminals and national telecommunication networks.
